You should try using essential oils. The craft store scents are really over priced. I order some supplies from the sight below as well as my local specialty shops.

You also may not be using the right kind of scents for your wax. I’ve found that soy wax can weaken a scent. Check out for tips. This is a great website when you are just starting with candles. Hope this helps.
